Gardens

The Charlotte Pollinator Pathway is a community effort to build biodiverse habits at key public buildings, along historic roads, and in private gardens throughout our rural community.

One of our goals is to create gardens, of all sizes, that host and feed pollinators, birds, and wildlife throughout the year. The gardens complement the vast tracts of conserved wetland, woodland, and prairie in our town of 50.3 square miles. Several of our gardens are Master Garden Extension projects that have a strong volunteer base and have educational components. Learn more about our growing effort to support pollinators at Pollinator Pathway Charlotte.

Below are two of the pollinator gardens in Charlotte and two photos from the August 2022 potluck with John Howe introducing Julie Parker-Dickerson in the first one and Julie describing various pollinator plants.
